SHE MAY BE A big shot now, but comedian Amy Schumer still remembers what it was like to be waiting tables as a young actor.
Last Saturday, Schumer went to see the musical Hamilton in New York with her boyfriend and a few pals, and enjoyed drinks in the bar afterwards.
The bill came to $77 – but Schumer added on a massive $1000 (€889) tip:

Bartender and aspiring actress Madeleine DeJohn was working in the theatre that night, and told Refinery29 what happened:
A friend of Amy’s came to the bar and signed for it, and he said, “Amy wants to make sure you get this.” The money is definitely going towards rent and student loans!
Schumer has previously spoken about working as a waitress while she was waiting for her big break, and obviously felt for the aspiring entertainers behind the bar.
This isn’t the first time she’s surprised someone with a tip, either – last year she added $500 to a $49 bill for a young waiter who was juggling two jobs to pay for college.
